bitFlyer は、ビットコイン販売所の紹介でも取り上げている、注目の会社です。
ついに動きがありました。ニューヨーク証券取引所が、ビットコイン価格のインデックスを公表すると発表しました。
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has today announced the launch of a bitcoin price index (NYXBT).
NYXBT will represent the daily US dollar value of one bitcoin at 4pm (BST) and will be published on the NYSE Global Index Feed (GIF).
これによって、ビットコイン価格の情報がより広く取り扱われるようになります。また、ビットコインで資産を運用したいというニーズにも追い風となります。
The bitcoin price index will use data from transactions taking place on San Francisco-based bitcoin exchange Coinbase.
いまのところ、Coinbase でのビットコイン価格を取り入れているとのことです。
ニューヨーク証券取引所は、Coinbase に投資をしています。まずはこのような形で、シナジーが生まれたということです。
ニューヨーク、ウォールストリートは、日々ビットコインやブロックチェーンへの関心を強めています。次の動きにも期待ができそうです。

Global bitcoin exchange itBit today announced it is available to all U.S. retail and institutional bitcoin traders and will begin accepting U.S. customers immediately. Through a trust company charter, granted by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), itBit has established the itBit Trust Company, organized under New York State banking law.
アメリカ全体への取引所の開放が大きなニュースですが、ニューヨーク州の承認を受けているという点も重要です。匿名性などのビットコインの特徴を排除することになりますが、金融資産として安心して取引を行うことができるようになります。
itBit today also announced it has raised $25 million in funding to significantly scale its operations as it begins to onboard U.S. clients. Investors include existing investors RRE Ventures, Liberty City Ventures and Jay W. Jordan II, as well as new participants including Raptor Capital Management chairman James Pallotta.
資金調達については、事業拡大のための資金となると発表されています。まずはアメリカ全体で事業を成長させることを目指すようです。Coinbase 等競合する取引所の今後の動きに注目です。
アメリカの取引所やビットコイン市場は、確実に成長しています。

UK のビットコイン市場に良いニュースです。Coinbase が進出しました。
With the expansion, they’re bringing both the exchange and their consumer wallet to the British market. UK-based users will be able to trade bitcoin against the British pound and the euro. CEO Brian Armstrong adds that they’re hoping to be in 40 countries by the end of the year.
資金調達を経て、取引所としても拡大を狙う Coinbase の方針が示されました。2015年中に、40カ国まで拡大したい意向があるとのことです。

BTC-c でビットコインの価格が動いています。比較的動きが多い週となっていますが、その中でも特に BTC-e での動きが大きく、注目を集めています。
1日〜2日の間に20〜30ドル（USD）下落し、すぐにまた上昇しています。

ビットコインに対する、金融業界の反応についての記事。2011年には無視されて、2013年末の絶頂期ごろから讃えられ、暴落直前の2014年初めに見放されるという流れ。ところが2015年に入ってから、風向きが変わって良い関係が出来つつある。
いまだに解決しない Mt. Gox（マウントゴックス）の問題について、続報です。東京を拠点とするビットコイン関連のセキュリティーコンサルティング会社 WizSec がレポートを出しました。
そのレポートについて、CoinDesk でも取り上げられています。
They were gone long before the company’s collapse in February 2014, the report said. Gox had therefore been operating on a fractional reserve basis for most of that time, either knowingly or unknowingly.
調査によると、Mt. Gox がビットコインを失ったのは、2014年2月の発表よりはるかに前になります。それが事実だとすれば、Mt. Gox は実態とかけ離れた量のビットコインの取引を仲介していたことになります。
The stolen bitcoins had been withdrawn and sold off on various exchanges including Mt Gox itself, and given the timing probably at prices far below the 2013-14 highs.

今回のレポートで注目すべきは、Mt. Gox はいつビットコインを失ったのか？という点です。
The resulting chart shows a dramatic difference between the number of bitcoins Mt Gox should have held, and what it actually held.
The company held little or no more than 100,000 BTC from May 2013 onward. Interestingly, neither the ideal nor actual totals includes the 200,000 BTC ‘found’ in cold storage after the collapse.
Mt. Gox が保有していたと思われるビットコインの量を集計したところ、本来あるべき量と実際の量には大きな開きがあると読み取れます。このレポートが正しければ、騒動が発覚するよりはるか前の2011年の段階で、すでに多くのビットコインを失っていたことになります。
つまり、最初から存在しないビットコインの売買が行われていた可能性が出てきました。
まだまだ謎の多い事件です。引き続き、関係各機関の調査を待ちたいと思います。
フィリピンで動きがありました。
Philippine Bitcoin umbrella company Satoshi Citadel Industries (SCI) announced today it has acquired Bitcoin exchange BuyBitcoin for an undisclosed amount.
フィリピンのビットコイン関連企業 SCI が、同じくフィリピンのビットコイン取引所 BuyBitcoin.ph を買収しました。買収金額等は非公開です。
With the acquisition, SCI now has seven products under its wing, including remittance service Rebit, payment processor Bitmarket, order-book exchange Coinage, bills payment platform Bills Ninja, Bitcoin card provider Prepaid Bitcoin, and selfie posting site Bitstars. Each plays a role in SCI’s bid to become a Bitcoin ecosystem by itself and its broader goal of growing Bitcoin adoption in the country.
この買収により、SCI は傘下に7つの製品を持つことになります。決済ツールや取引所もそろえ、フィリピンのビットコインを大きく成長させる要素を確保しました。
フィリピンは、その金融インフラ事情からもビットコインに対するニーズがあり、大きく普及する可能性を秘めています。そこに集中して複数の製品を買収し、傘下におさめるというのは、非常に興味深い事例です。SCI の今後の展開には、注目していきます。
ビットコインでの決済を実現するサービスは複数ありますが、新たな選択肢が登場しました。
Australian exchange Igot is aiming to rival bitcoin payment giants Coinbase and BitPay with the launch of its own international merchant solution.
オーストラリアでビットコインの取引所を運営している Igot が、参入します。この分野では、先行している Coinbase や BitPay がシェアを拡大しています。国際的に利用できる新たなサービスとして、ユーザーの支持を得ることが出来るでしょうか。
Igot’s platform will enable e-commerce and brick-and-mortar merchants to integrate bitcoin payments in almost 40 countries and transact in 10 different fiat currencies.
40ヶ国、10の通貨に対応してスターとするとのことです。
競争が市場全体の質の向上につながると期待して、今後の展開にも注目していきます。
